Gallery of the 1st CosPlay Festival in Antigua Guatemala

According to Wikipedia, Cosplay, short for “costume play”, is a type of performance art in which participants don costumes and accessories to represent a specific character or idea. Cosplayers often interact to create a subculture centered on role play. A broader use of the term “cosplay” applies to any costumed role play in venues apart from the stage, regardless of the cultural context.

This Sunday, August 19, fans of comics, anime and cosplay met at the Centro de los Luteranos on the 1st ever CosPlay festival in Antigua Guatemala. Fans were wearing their favorite comic character costume. Besides the costumes, people had the opportunity to find rare copies of comics and games. Also, there was a contest for the best costume of the festival and different fun activities. Below you can take a look at the photo gallery of the first ever CosPlay Antigua Guatemala.

Los fanaticos de los Comics y Anime se reunieron en el Centro de los Luteranos en el 1er Cosplay realizado en Antigua Guatemala. A la actividad asistieron fans disfrados del comic favorito. En el evento se podian encontrar copias de las series, historietas y juguetes de colección. Realizarón un concurso para el mejor disfraz y tuvieron distintas actividades que incluyeron presentaciones de algunos de ellos.
