Revue 20th Anniversary by Elvira Méndez

Congratulations to the winning photographers of our first monthly Revue Photo Contest. Thanks to all participating photographers and to everyone who voted. The 94 entries can be seen on our website, we’ve published the winners on the following pages. We’ve also got some great stories, lots of information and plenty of events and things to do.

Oh yeah, it’s also our 20th anniversary.

Our heartfelt thanks go to all of our advertisers who have been with us for these oh-so-many years. We feel that it has been a mutually beneficial relationship and we will continue to do all we can to get the word out about them.

Since 1992 we have been extremely fortunate in the high caliber and quantity of writers that have penned their stories, insights and adventures throughout our pages. Some of our writers have moved on, some have passed on, some remain, and some are as yet undiscovered—and to all of them up to now we express our gratitude and fondness.
Without the exceptional individuals who make up the Revue Team, this magazine wouldn’t even exist, and hopefully a large round of enthusiastic applause and a published “Thanks, Team!” should work in lieu of any raises or bonuses.

Even after 20 years, we are still thrilled every time someone says to us, “Oh, I really enjoyed that interview this month,” or “I use the Revue to help plan out my month,” or “I read it online when I’m out of the country.” It is what we work towards and we take the responsibility very seriously. We truly enjoy sharing through the magazine all the good things, beautiful places and wonderful people of Guatemala.

Have a great March.
